Last Dover Art Walk of the summer to feature music, gelato Aug. 2

DOVER – Kick off your August Art Walk at the Cocheco Courtyard, host to more than a dozen visiting artists, live music and even some refreshing, cold gelato.
The August Art Walk on Friday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m., is your last chance this summer to enjoy the courtyard, a popular outdoor stop along the Art Walk’s downtown route.
While touring the courtyard, enjoy live music by Deirdre Hebert and Taylor Marie, gelato at the Coppa Magic truck, and 10 percent discounts at the Seacoast Popup Shop.
Bring your budding young artist to the courtyard, grab a piece of sidewalk chalk, and make your own art.
In addition to the courtyard, there are activities and art displays throughout the downtown, including the Art Center’s closing reception for the bi-annual member show, Avalon North Open Studios and a master silversmith demonstration by Wendy Wetherbee at SEH Studios, all at One Washington.
Pick up the Art Walk map for a complete list of locations and plan your route. Maps are available online doverartwalk.com/map.php and at all participating locations. Along the way, get your map stamped at 10 or more locations and check back in at the courtyard, the Art Center, or Cara to qualify for a raffle.

Whether you’re curious about Dover’s arts community, or looking to purchase a unique piece of Dover art, the Art Walk, held the first Friday of each month, has something for everyone. A special Art Walk tote awaits those who purchase $30 or more of artwork, while supplies last.
